A couple of weeks ago, I attended GroundTruth Consulting Ltd‘s Security Awareness in Fragile Environment (SAFE) course at their headquarters in the Sussex countryside.
I’m about to widen my work environment to include travelling to different countries, and this course really opened my eyes about what risks and dangers I could face, and how to prevent or minimise those risks. I also travel around the UK a lot, and the skills I learned on this course apply to here too.
Becoming more aware of risks, being able to understand and read people, recognise dangers and employ strategies to keep myself safe is essential in what I do. The course was highly interactive, with simple and effective theories, and plenty of practical application to help embed the learning. The team at GroundTruth are extremely experienced, and put you through your paces. I felt out of my comfort zone on a few occasions, but it just made the learning more ingrained. I now feel much more confident and prepared for the tasks ahead, and as well as keeping myself safe, I feel confident the first aid training I received will mean I could save a life. I can’t recommend this training and this company enough. Thanks to all involved.
